Inside the House

There is no signage, no marble foyer, no shelves stacked with identical bottles. You arrive at AMBRA not through a store, but through a question: What if scent could speak for me?

At the center of this house are Sonja and Liron Shalev. A scientist from Vienna and a software designer born in Tel Aviv , life partners who now work side-by-side in Berlin, composing fragrance in a way that feels both precise and instinctive.

Their backgrounds span molecular chemistry, software architecture, and independent perfumery. But what they’ve built here is neither lab nor atelier. It’s something else: a place where logic meets imagination. Where tools are sharpened, then set aside. Where perfume is not just a product, but a method of communication.

Together, they have spent years developing a new way to compose scent, one that does not rely on trend cycles, industry templates, or guesswork. Instead, it begins with structure, clarity, and abstraction. And ends with a bottle that feels uncannily personal.

Each composition is born from a dialog. Each note is treated as an idea. When a formula is carfully drafted, it is done so as one might compose a letter: with intent, with cadence, with attention to the person on the other end. Technology plays a role, seeking a smooth translation between the client and their perfumer. But no of it speaks louder than the pipettes or the perfume on the skin and blotters. Here, the aim is not automation, but amplification, a way to extend human intuition, not replace it.

Both founders are lifelong scent-lovers with exacting standards. They speak in metaphors and chemical codes, equally at ease referencing IFRA allergen charts, as they are discussing Karl Jung. They are not trying to scale. They are trying to refine.

From the label texture to the way the fragrance lingers at the 8-hour mark, every detail is treated as part of the whole. Their studio is small by design. Their timeline is slow by conviction.

They like to say they work the way a musician practices: not for speed, but for resonance.

And the result?   Fragrances that don’t just smell good — they feel understood.

Perfume That Listens

Step into a world where perfume is hand-created just for you

At AMBRA.BERLIN, fragrance begins with you.
It starts with a question: What moves you?

You might speak about a forest at night, the warmth of sun on your skin after swimming, or the feeling of wearing something made only for you. From there, your scent begins to take shape, composed through a refined process that blends sensory intelligence with high perfumery craftsmanship.

This is not a novelty. It's a modern interpretation of tradition.  Where personalization is precise, tools enhance intuition, and where each fragrance is created to feel like it could belong to no one else.

From their Berlin small studio, they’ve developed a patent panding system that allows them to craft true bespoke perfume — efficiently, responsibly, and with the same attention they’d offer a couture client.

SCENTIFIC exists to offer this possibility to anyone who seeks it.

The result is not just a signature scent. It’s a reflection.
An encounter. A memory, captured in scent.
Personal perfumer on retainer,  to wear something truly yours.

You only need one thing: to begin.
